We never know who will receive the blood or donated breast milk. But, recently at the Royal Norfolk Show in June, we were approached by young parents with their baby.
The mother had to search us out when she saw we were there. A very emotional and grateful parent gave us the news that Caitlin, their daughter, was born in January 2016 17 weeks premature and needed 21 blood transfusions to survive. Without our help in delivering the extra blood needed, she wouldn’t be here today. It was very emotional for us and brought home that what we do can, and does save lives.
We’ve been looking for a name for our latest car and it will now be named Caitlin, in her honour.
